What started as two weeks turned into three… and then four.
Four weeks of being completely with myself.
No work. No schedules. No noise. No running around.
And most importantly, a complete getaway from my boys.
It wasn't easy. But sometimes you need to step away from everything familiar to hear yourself clearly.
Four weeks of #Pranayama, #Meditation, #Yoga, #Reading, #Reflection and #Silence did something profound - they helped me slow down enough to look inward.
I reflected.
I introspected.
I questioned.
I accepted.
I let go.
I left a few pieces of emotional baggage behind and slowly began watching my own life's movie - not as the protagonist caught up in the action, but as an observer.
Perhaps that distance was exactly what I needed.
I read Autobiography of a Yogi and, somewhere between those pages and my own silence, I started writing too.
A few pages of my life - memories, experiences, lessons and stories that I hope to turn into a little book for my son when he turns 13 next year.
Perhaps one day, he will read it and understand the Woman behind “Mum” a little better.
Yoga taught me to listen.
Pranayama taught me to breathe.
Meditation taught me to be still.
And these four weeks taught me something even bigger:
Sometimes, moving forward requires leaving a few things behind.
I came back lighter.
Calmer.
Clearer.
With fewer attachments and a stronger sense of purpose.
And perhaps the biggest realization of all…
While I prepare my boys for the day they eventually fly out of the nest, I also need to prepare myself for the life that begins when they do.
The next 15 years suddenly look different.
More intentional.
More purposeful.
More me.
A new morning.
A new perspective.
A new chapter.
I could not have asked for a more beautiful reset. ❤️
