I lost my father young, and took my first job not long after his funeral because I needed to stand on my own feet. That was the year I found out what I was capable of. Most of what I know started there.
The twenty years since have been spent in beauty and luxury — L'Oréal, The Body Shop, Kiehl's, Diageo. Building teams, running businesses, learning how people choose and why. I am proud of that work. It is also not the whole of me.
The rest is the road. Unplanned journeys, car rallies, mountains, yoga, a farm, a village, and two boys who have taught me more than any of it. I travel without booking. I try things I am not good at.
Life has tested me. It has never stopped me from exploring it.
I write here about what I have learnt, what I am still learning, and sometimes simply about what makes me smile. If something in my experience helps you through your own chapter, that is the point.
